The Role:
As the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at BlueSpace, your mission will be to develop the Cloud Data Infrastructure System to support and enable our Assured AI for Autonomy.
You will have the opportunity to design and develop the infrastructure which will allow our developers to expand Bluespace’s APNT capabilities.
Developed by our award-winning engineering team, our Assured Positioning and Situational software delivers game-changing, industry disruptive technology solutions for Autonomy.

A Few of Your Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop BlueSpace’s Data Management Cloud for real-time, high-throughput (Think 100s Mb/s per second, with ML and interactive desktop use-cases)
Work with multiple teams developing Autonomy Capabilities to develop optimal cloud solutions
Improve and deliver a reliable cloud infrastructure capable of robust Data Lineage schemas (Traceability, Reproducibility, Reliability, and Compliance) through continuous integration, automated testing and code reviews
Understand and implement best practices for security, operations, cost management, resiliency, and performance of BlueSpace’s cloud infrastructure
The Top Skills You Will Need to Succeed:
At least 8 years of infrastructure and cloud development experience, or 6 with an advanced degree
Strong Python software development skills and solid C++ skills (or the ability to ramp up quickly)
Good understanding of data engineering concepts such as Schema Management, Metadata management, Data Lineage, Tokenization, etc
Proven experience with developing a Cloud Infrastructure (GCP preferred) in a production environment (e.g., infrastructure, capacity planning, scalability, backups, storage, security best practices, etc.)
Knowledge of cloud computing strategies and architecture (e.g. multi-cloud hybrid, multi-user)
Experience solving the challenges associated with distributed compute and storage technologies
The Top Desired Skills That Will be Most Helpful:
Understanding of AI/ML services and best practices
Comfortable with detailed documentation and ensuring process transparency
Strong analytical skills in linear or lie algebra, geometry and probability.
Experience developing software under strong real-time performance requirements
Familiarity with cost optimization practices within GCP ecosystems (e.g., total cost of ownership, cloud cost optimization tools, cost reporting services) is a plus
Preferred Education:
B.S/ Master’s degree in computer science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
